This page is for those interested in the companion characters of the *Mount & Blade* series, who often a chance for writers to offer various lore insights to the player, and subsequently the Encyclopædia Calradica – albeit, *Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord* took a more – *“less is more”* – approach.
This page separates companions into two categories and one sub-category, Warband and Bannerlord, and Bannerlord’s cut companions found in the as well as `XML` and `TXT` files.

These characters have been documented here for the sake of the project, as mostly all the supporting cast surround the protagonist and antagonist are influenced and based partially off of these companions.
It is my opinion that *Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord* would have had greatly improved its story if it introduced only two characters per faction, instead of the 10-13 per faction
With an equal boy to girl ratio – the companion’s backstories, development, and overall competencies should have taken precedent over what was probably *TaleWorlds’* aim to reinforce replayability through sheer companion variety and randomization (i.e. the companions appearance and skills).
Finally, these character profiles were created using in-game information as well as information which can only be found the game(s) `XML` files.
