# Lore-only Characters ![[characters_banner_2.webp]] `May. 5, 2025` · [[Horseapple]] · #Cluster #Characters > [!custom-callout]+ [[Blog_12_The_Passage_of_Time]] > “Bannerlord shares the setting of Calradia with Warband but takes place 200 years earlier. (…) By sharing the same world, the two games become part of the lore of Mount & Blade in a wider sense. While the series' lore was kept to a minimum in Warband, being left to hints in dialogue, Bannerlord features its own storyline that will add some additional depth to the factions.”
— TaleWorlds
## All lore-characters of Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord > (Separated by culture and alphabetized.) *Aserai* — [Aqir](Aqir-(Cl).md) · [[Asera]] · [[Eren]] · [[Eshora]] · [[Las]] · [Lath](Lath-(Cc).md) · [[Nimr]] · [Pol](Pol-(Cc).md) · [Sabila](Sabila-(Cc)) · [[Sathan]] · [[Thuran]] · [[Yatheb]] *Battanian* — [[Aed]] · [[Aeril]] · [[Aireen]] · [[Algana]] · [[Belarn]] · [Cadugan](Cadugan-(Cc).md) · [[Cal]] · [[Calain]] · [[Cathalac]] · [[Cynan]] · [[Deimul]] · [[Dernmachad]] · [[Eren]] · [Ferionn](Ferionn-(Cc).md) · [[Fiogrin]] · [[Glanys]] · [[Gorawan]] · [[Gryf]] · [Gwendian](Gwendian-(Cl)) · [Imulir](Imulir-(Cc)) · [[Mon]] · [[Nal]] · [[Ochlaigan]] · [[Taseil]] *Calradoi* — [[Cypegos]] · [[Echerion]] *Darshi* — [[Ahhak]] · [[Hoshtar]] *Imperial* — [[Agandios]] · [[Alena]] · [[Alos]] · [[Archacos]] · [[Arenicos]] · [[Aricaros]] · [[Arthon]] · [[Asaios]] · [[Atys]] · [Boscoric](Boscoric-(Cc).md) · [[Calradios]] · [[Carsos]] · [Chara](Chara-(Cc).md) · [[Darusos]] · [[Drosios]] · [Haldaea](Haldaea-(Cc)) · [[Ladimos]] · [Lantius](Lantius-(Cc).md) · [[Litos]] · [[Nylia]] · [[Orthos]] · [Osarios](Osarios-(Cc).md) · [[Pateor]] · [Petrys](Petrys-(Cc).md) · [[Salion]] · [[Sarapios]] · [[Sarpea]] · [Senon](Senon-(Cc).md) · [[Ungaron]] · [[Valicos-the-Older]] · [[Valicos-the-Younger]] · [[Zeona]] *Khuzait* — [Chana](Chana-(Cl).md) · [Ger](Ger-(Cc).md) · [Khachin](Khachin-(Cc)) · [[Kuyug]] · [[Solun]] · [Surgai](Surgai-(Cc)) · [Tabur](Tabur-(Cc)) · [[Ulus]] · [[Undul]] · [[Urkhun]] *Nord* — [[Gundar]] · [[Skioren]] · [[Viddunthar]] *Palaic* — [[Gethuz]] · [[Themys]] *Geroian* — [Ewyn](Characters/Cut-or-Unused/Companions/Ewyn-(Cc).md) *Sturgian* — [Aliky](Aliky-(Cl).md) · [[Arentor]] · [[Arkina]] · [[Obas]] · [[Olek-the-Older]] · [Urgil](Urgil-(Cc).md) · [[Vadinslav]] · [[Varra]] · [Yarka](Yarka-(Cc)) · [[Zorgan]] *Vakken* — [[Arto]] *Vlandian* — [[Alric]] · [Arigun](Arigun-(Cc).md) · [[Armac]] · [Berenin](Berenin-(Cl).md) · [[Big-Tuna]] · [[Gastond]] · [[Gosard]] · [Hervard](Hervard-Hardskull-(Cl).md) · [[Horsa]] · [[Oca]] · [[Osric]] · [[Uthor]] · [[Wilund]] *Unknown* — [Dewanos](Dewanos-(Cc).md) · [[Fulq]] · [Parakrama](Parakrama-(Cc).md)
## All lore-characters of Mount & Blade: Warband > (Separated by culture and alphabetized.) *Balish* — [[Konrad]] *Guditian* — [[Borislav]] *Imperial* — [[Akembra]] *Khergit* — [[Azabei]] · [[Badzan]] · [[Dulam]] · [[Shamir]] · [[Ubayn]] *Massa* — [[Galerian]] *Nord* — [[Bjernstad]] · [[Gundig]] · [[Hakrim]] · [[Sverre]] *Portucian* — [Rodrigo](Rodrigo) *Rhodok* — *Rhosmen* — [[Argo-Sendnar]] *Sarranid* — [[Zaira]] *Swadian* — [[Hegen]] *Vaegir* — [[Aethrod]] *Unknown* — [[Antaran]] · [[Ashdab]] · [[Galeas]] · [[Gamara]] · [[Janun]] · [[Laminur]] · [[Rolf-the-Older]] · [[Sahira]] · [[Stavros]] · [[Usiatra]]
## Info This page is for those interested in characters, between *Mount & Blade: Warband* and *Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord*, who are only mentioned and/or depicted in imagery but never actually make an in-game appearance. This would include: [[Arenicos]], [Drosios Neretzes](Drosios.md), [[Taseil]], and the illustrious – as well as ancient and very real – family of [[Rolf]], son of Rolf, of the House of Rolf. This path is meant to offer an easy way to access these characters, and more. These characters derive from all sorts of time periods in the history of [Calradia](Calradia-Conti..md). Some from as far back as [Calradios the Great](Calradios.md), when the land was still governed by tribes, often called [*“Palaic”*](Palaic.md) – which is a Calradic corruption of their original name(s) that are mostly forgotten. > [!info]- This page includes cut content – *Explanation*: > For the sake of simplicity, **lore**, at least when it comes to this project, **includes cut content** – like companions and claimants and so on – which themselves are technically not considered canon and therefore not lore-based due to being cut or unused. Still, in my opinion they are handy to know for writing purposes. > > Additionally, this page contains custom battle characters too. When it comes to the project and the relevance of lore-only characters, it’s important to me that the re-imagining of *Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord’s* main storyline be firmly based in Mount & Blade’s fictional setting. And while, according to Brandon Sanderson, setting is the least important aspect of a story when compared to characters and plot [^1] – I’d still like to take advantage of the fantastic work already in-place. Finally, these character pages were developed using in-game lore, as well as `XML` and `TXT` only lore.
[P.S.]: Hitting `Ctrl+K`, as well as simply clicking the bar, engages the the search function of the *Encyclopaedia Calradica*. If you’re looking for a particular character, that may be the best way to find them.
>
![[encyclopedia_calradica.gif|center|300]]
>*“A massive `Mount & Blade` wikipedia.”*
About [Encyclopædia Calradica](About-the-Encyclopædia.md)
About the [Project](Project-(Pillar).md)
About the [Author](Horseapple.md)
   ## Resources [^1]: https://youtu.be/UT6Hv8z3fUQ?si=21mClnnMvTtaLEVF&t=448
