For generations ago it was an autonomous outpost of the [[Calradian-Empire]] known as "Yachios", dominated by the [[Carasios]] clan. Fifty years ago however they saw the writing on the wall for [[Imperial]] dominion in the southlands, and began intermarrying themselves with the tribes of the Nahasa. Today, known as the [[Banu-Qaraz]], they take their places in the councils of the sultanate like any other family of the [[Aserai-Sultanate]].
