The [[Calradian-Empire]]'s periodic advances south of the Perassic Sea have usually been aimed at seizing this strategic prize. Although the legions were long ago forced to retreat, [[Sanala]] remains among the most cosmopolitan cities in [[Calradia-Conti.]], filled with merchants from many lands bidding for the lowest bulk prices. According to the Digital Companion guide, Valicos Sr., the father of [[Asaios]], met his mother here and brought her back to the [[Calradian-Empire]], presumably straight to Amycon village.
